Case Study: Explain What Happened
A patient once asked why do we do this assessment? A great question. This patient was just his journey towards improving his health and we had worked to help him set a specific goal of losing 2kg in 6 weeks. But how would we know if he had made an improvement? We assessed his weight by weighing him and also taking body measurements of his waist and hips. Though his goal was to lose weight we could also tell if what we were doing was working by taking other measures, this included some physical capabilities assessment. This patient was then assessed at 1,3,6 week marks and recorded a change in week 3 only in body measurements of his hips and some physical tests. By the time week 6 came about he had lost the 3kg and centimeters off both his waist and hips whilst improving his other tests further.
